FPT Industrial unveils its two new best-in-class medium-range engines for Power Generation: N67 250kVA and C87 300kVA, under the theme of "More power, less space" at Middle East Electricity (Dubai World Trade Center - February 14-16 - Sh. Saeed halls, Booth S3.E40). These two new engines allow, in medium-range, the best power density in the market – housed in the most compact packaging. With these new launches FPT Industrial establishes itself as a full-liner manufacturer within the Power Generation powertrains segment.
From the renowned NEF family of engines, the new N67 250kVA is compact for a high power generators, because this 6.7 liter unit at 250kVA has the same dimensions of a 200kVA power node engine. This is made possible through a displacement downsizing approach: while FPT Industrial uses a 6 cylinder 6.7 liter engine, the competition uses a 6 cylinder 9 liter engine. Thanks to this feature, it is best-in-class for G-Drive packaging. Maintenance intervals are maximized up to 600 hours, reducing service downtimes by approximately 20%, compared to its competitors.
This breakthrough product utilizes premium technology components, such as 1,600 bar Common Rail injection system to reduce fuel consumption by optimizing the combustion process, smart turbocharger air-handling to reach exceptional load acceptance performances, innovative cooling fan to minimize both fuel and power waste, and high resistance cylinder-head to support the high peak cylinder pressure needed to reach high power density. Thanks to these innovation, the new NEF67 250kVA is capable of delivering both best-in-class performance specific load acceptance and fuel consumption.
Thanks to the compact tropical cooling package - available as standard option - the new N67 250kVA is capable of operating in the most severe conditions and to reach temperatures up to 52° Celsius. The switch-ability pack – also available as standard option - enables switching from 1,500 rpm to 1,800 depending on market request (50Hz or 60 Hz).

The C87 300kVA is switchable 1500/1800 rpm and compliant to Stage IIIA @ 50Hz and Tier 3 @ 60Hz. Its Common Rail injection system reaches up to 1,600 bar to optimize fuel injection quantity. Its high performance cooling pack has been specifically designed for heavy application and harsh environments.
Furthermore, the C87 300kVA guarantees the highest reliability, owing to its maintenance free I-EGR without any additional components. At the same time, a Fixed Geometry Turbocharger has been designed and tested to maximize the air intake system reliability, while electrical interface box allows easy and fast dual mode setting (delivered as standard).
