HEULIEZ BUS chosen by the Paris public transport operator RATP for the future supply of its fully electric buses

The standard fully electric GX 337 model from HEULIEZ BUS has been selected by the RATP (Régie Autonome des Transports Parisiens).

On March 13, Mr. Alain Batier, Director of RATP's Rolling Stock Equipment Department (MRB) and Rémy Foyer, Deputy Managing Director of Heuliez Bus, signed a contract for an order of electric buses for an amount ranging from between 5 to 10M € over 2 years.

Silent and with zero emissions, the GX ELECs are a genuine alternative to fossil fuels and offer numerous environmentally friendly features, such as the absence of local pollutant emissions and the reduction of greenhouse gases, noise and vibration. A guarantee of comfort for both bus drivers and local communities.

Labeled “Guaranteed French Origin (Origine France Garantie)”, the GX 337 ELEC are electric buses with major benefits in terms of reliability and performance.

GX ELECs are equipped with a 120/195 KW electric motor and 360 KWh Lithium-ion NMC batteries, which are divided into eight packs, six on the roof and two in the rear compartment. Heuliez Bus uses batteries made by FORSEE POWER, a French company based in Moissy Cramayel in the Ile de France Region, leader and specialist in smart battery systems.

These models have a full day’s autonomy and recharge overnight at the depot in just a few hours. For this, they have a Combo 2 socket located at the rear of the vehicles to optimize the charging space in the center of the bus.

Based on the same design as the traditional GX buses, the configuration of the passenger space remains comparable to those of the brand’s more conventional models i.e. the best livability/on board energy/autonomy in the electric bus market.

Equipped with two electric doors and a spacious central platform, the GX 337 ELEC can comfortably accommodate more than 90 passengers. The buses are fully accessible to people with reduced mobility thanks to an access ramp, two places for wheelchair users and four PRM seats.

The elevated driving position affords the driver both excellent visibility of road traffic and a good position from which to welcome passengers on board. In addition to the color display on the dashboard, which indicates the remaining autonomy, these buses are also equipped with an intuitive driving system to further improve driver comfort.

Building on its position as the French leader in hybrid buses, with more than 600 vehicles in circulation, including 221 at RATP, the company has already convinced the following cities to go electric with its GX ELEC range:
With this new order, Heuliez Bus wins its largest fully electric bus order to date and reinforces its leadership in the development of zero emission buses.

Heuliez Bus offers a complete electric mobility solution including fully electric vehicles (12 and 18 m long), battery rental, charging stations, financing and full service contracts.
