Fire Department Partners Supporting Conrad Dietrich Magirus Award Sponsors presenting new innovations from the world of firefighting at an exhibition
The Conrad Dietrich Magirus Award is being backed by notable partners from the world of firefighting. This year, the companies Endress Elektrogerätebau GmbH, AWG Fittings, and Dönges will be sponsoring the competition for the first time. “The sponsors’ significant interest is once again proof that the Conrad Dietrich Magirus Award is now an established part of the firefighting industry,” said Tobias Knebel from Magirus, the company which organizes the competition. “Together with the sponsors, this year we will once again do all we can to increase the public’s awareness of firefighters’ hard work and dedication.”
The sponsors will be involved in the competition and present their latest products and ideas to the trade audience during the award ceremony in Ulm, Germany, on January 22, 2016. “Firefighters give their utmost 365 days a year and often push themselves to their limits. We think it’s outstanding that their service is being honored with the Conrad Dietrich Magirus Award – and this is a form of appreciation that we want to support,” explained Christian Weissinger, General Manager of Endress Elektrogerätebau GmbH. The company develops power generators for the global market, including special devices for fire departments and catastrophe protection.
In addition, Endress Elektrogerätebau GmbH, similar to the other two sponsors, values the opportunity to discuss current developments with colleagues from around the firefighting industry and present new innovations at the exhibition. At AWG Fittings GmbH, a global complete provider of firefighting fittings, fire protection systems, and hydraulic rescue equipment, industry professionals can learn about new innovations in the field of mobile and stationary fire protection. The company Dönges is a system supplier that outfits fire departments with a complete range of equipment for the vehicles. The company also offers personal equipment, tools, warning materials, extinguishing devices and ancillary equipment, tool sets, and illumination products.
Fire departments from all over the world, regardless of whether volunteer, professional, company, or industrial fire department, can submit an application for the Conrad Dietrich Magirus Award. The deadline for all applications is October 18, 2015. The winners will receive the Conrad Dietrich Magirus Statue as well as a trip to visit their colleagues from the FDNY in New York.
